Talk Show

"Now, I want to welcome a very special guest to the show today ladies and gentleman! Give it up, for Leonard Peacock!!" The crowd roared wildly with appreciation and grandeur for their guest. He emerged from backstage with no sliver of a smile upon his face, instead he seemed nervous and tired. The applause died the moment they caught a glance of him, and his discomfort only slightly showed. He sat down as a wave of murmurs passed throughout the audience. Probably regarding his haircut. He sat down in the too squeaky chair and shifted for a moment before getting comfortable. She smiled and leaned back in her chair coolly.
"So, Leonard, where do we even begin?" She asked shaking her head at him like he was some sort of wonder. Which he thought was ridiculous.
"I don't know...." He said quietly looking at the ground.
"Why did you want to kill your former best friend Asher Beal?"
He seemed unfazed by the question totally. "Because he's scum and it doesn't get any simpler than that."
She frowned, unsure how to answer next.
"And the handgun you had in your possession how did you come across it?"

"I inherited it from my grandfather. It's a WWII Nazi handgun."

His lack of emotion and discomfort brought an unpleasant aura to the room.

"Oh, alright then.... What about the girl at the train station I heard she ran away from you. Why?"

He blushed, more out of embarrassment then the thought of the actual girl herself. "I... Kissed her... And... God... Ha! I kissed her and she actually ran away. Imagine that. A female was so completely  disgusted by me that she ran. She ran like I was trying to assault her or something worse." This was the moment the hostess realized Leonard lacked a filter, or at least wasn't concerned by the thoughts of others anymore.
"....Well.... Ummm, why do you think she ran?"
Leonard seemed to think this was a stupid question but said nothing and responded regardless. "Because previously I suggested I wanted to 'park' with her."
"Park?" She seemed confused.
He chuckled. "It's the term her church uses to describe risqué things." The hostess nodded uncertainly with a slightly weirded out expression to her face.
"Well, we're running out of time for today.... My final question for you, is why didn't you kill Asher Beal?"

He seemed surprisingly startled by that.

"Well, I just kind of.... Well..... He was... I couldn't, his parents were home." He sounded like he was lying but the time was up and the camera's had rolled off.
The crowds emptied their seats after a few minutes as well.

Leonard sat on the dimly lit stage staring blankly ahead, before getting up. The hostess sighed, and wished him a goodbye.
But he said nothing as he walked away.
