Interviewing a Smoker. (New)

"So, do you remember when you started smoking?" I asked.                                                                              "At the age of thirteen."                                                                                                                                                                   "Wow. That's young!" I exclaimed. "And why did you start smoking?"                                                                                                                                                                  "I don't know... I was deep in the woods with some of my friends on a Saturday night and someone offered me one. In a friend group like mine, I guess I'd be a jerk if I turned them down." She shrugged.                                                                                                                                                                    "Alright, and

Interviewing a Smoker. (Stop Smoking for Teens)

The smoker walked out onto the stage and sat in a chair. The host nodded with a smile. "So, how long have you been smoking?" They said right off the bat. The smoker wasn't taken off guard. "Mmmm, about fifteen years now....""Have you ever tried stopping?" The host asked in response. "Well, yeah! I always knew about all of the chemicals and carcinogens, but it never actually hit me until I watched a family member get lung cancer..." They frowned sadly."Well that is unfortunate. When did you start smoking?""In high school... I underestimated how hard it would be to stop.... But when I quit my hands started to shake and I didn't know how to keep my stress down. It was a rough time, and the tobacco started effecting me almost immediately. " The host nodded sympathetically. "That's terrible to hear.... Why did you start smoking?" The smoker looked into the distance for a moment before speaking. "Well,

Relating to Leonard Peacock.

I relate to Leonard Peacock very easily. Probably easier than most other people. I understand, the unrelenting level of hatred you can hold for one parent. I understand having a parent who can't even bother to look at you twice. A parent who can't even care enough to choose you over there useless spouse. A mother who was supposed to be there, and wasn't. A mother incapable of maternal instinct to the point where your chest is clenching and convulsing painfully through the night while you wonder why the heck she couldn't just be there enough. Why she couldn't care about you. Why every other thing had to be more important to her than your well being. A mom who might as well be dead, for the involvement she has in your life. I relate to Leonard, because I know what it's like to not always know where your dad is. I relate to Leonard because I know how terrible it feels to be alone. To take care of yourself. To not have any sense of guidance. Where are kids like us

Talk Show

"Now, I want to welcome a very special guest to the show today ladies and gentleman! Give it up, for Leonard Peacock!!" The crowd roared wildly with appreciation and grandeur for their guest. He emerged from backstage with no sliver of a smile upon his face, instead he seemed nervous and tired. The applause died the moment they caught a glance of him, and his discomfort only slightly showed. He sat down as a wave of murmurs passed throughout the audience. Probably regarding his haircut. He sat down in the too squeaky chair and shifted for a moment before getting comfortable. She smiled and leaned back in her chair coolly. "So, Leonard, where do we even begin?" She asked shaking her head at him like he was some sort of wonder. Which he thought was ridiculous. "I don't know...." He said quietly looking at the ground. "Why did you want to kill your former best friend Asher Beal?" He seemed unfazed by the question totally. "Because he
I really like my book so far , i'm slowly falling in love with it ,i like how the book is set up ,how it explains everything . while reading sometimes it will have a number after a word  (ex. misty  18 ) and a writing in small text will be at the bottom of that page, if you read the writing it kinda gives you some background knowledge or information for what its talking about. Its also funny, but it does have some deep moments. From what i have read in the book so far he has a neighbor named Walt who is 60, likes to smoke cigarettes, and loves Bogart movies, Leonard Peacock is the name of the main character in my book and he skips school a lot to hang out with Walt, Leonards mom, Linda, isn't ever really there for him, she mostly just cares about her french boyfriend and her job as a fashion designer, she claims she loves her work, but complains about it ever second she gets, his father left when he was little, he was a famous singer who made 1 miracle song and then his career w
