Relating to Leonard Peacock.

I relate to Leonard Peacock very easily. Probably easier than most other people. I understand, the unrelenting level of hatred you can hold for one parent. I understand having a parent who can't even bother to look at you twice. A parent who can't even care enough to choose you over there useless spouse. A mother who was supposed to be there, and wasn't. A mother incapable of maternal instinct to the point where your chest is clenching and convulsing painfully through the night while you wonder why the heck she couldn't just be there enough. Why she couldn't care about you. Why every other thing had to be more important to her than your well being. A mom who might as well be dead, for the involvement she has in your life.
I relate to Leonard, because I know what it's like to not always know where your dad is.
I relate to Leonard because I know how terrible it feels to be alone. To take care of yourself. To not have any sense of guidance. Where are kids like us supposed to go? Parentless kids who can't even care enough to do what's good for them even if they know what is. Kids who think they've overstayed there time on earth and everyone is subtly trying to give them hints to leave.
Kids who've survived what some adults couldn't.
Kids who are still alive despite the world's persistence to get rid of them.

  1. Always reread what you write out loud. You can catch minor errors that way. Some of these sentences aren't sentences. I like the content though.
